You will have to allow your browser to access your location for check ins to work. Go to phone settings and turn on location services for the browser on your phone.

Yes, MyLoc.info is in beta currently and is absolutely free to use.
No one other than you has access to your information. Only people you setup as contacts will receieve email notifications when you check in. Your check in location is displayed in the email sent to your contacts.
Currently MyLoc provides approximate addresses. If you are outdoors, usually, the street addresses are pretty accurate.
Yes, MyLoc requires cellular service in order to work. However it does not require a high speed connection and will work on any available bandwidth.

They will see an approximate address of where you are - same as the location you will see when you check in.

They will also see that you are "in progress" if you clicked on "Check In", or if you clicked on "Finish", they will see the status as "Finished".
